Time Extension for Report - DER 85-07 A 50.55(e) Potentially Reportable Deficiency Relating to The Lack of Bolt Nut Retention Mechanism on CE Instrument Rack Design File: 85-019-026; D.4.33.2

C) ANPP-32654, dated May 16, 1985 (Time Extension)

Dear Sir:

The NRC was notified of a potentially reportable deficiency in Reference (A), and an Interim Report was transmitted by Reference (B).

At that time, it was estimated that a Final Report would be available by June 15, 1985.

While performing the evaluation for this potential deficiency, questions concerning the qualification of the subject holting mater-ial were raised. The ANPP is currently corresponding witb CE over this issue for Units 2 and 3, and it is now expected that a Final Report will be issued by July 12, 1985.

The Unit 1 instrument rack bolting has been examined and determined to be antisfactorily qualified.
