REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO SUPPORT THE CORE PHYSICS REVIEW 0F THE CANADIAN DEUTERIUM URANIUM (CANDU) 3 REACTOR DESIGN The NRC has been reviewing documents submitted by AECL Technologies regarding the physics of the CANDU 3 reactor design. This review is part of the staff's preapplication review of the CANDU 3 design. This letter requests that you submit two copies each of the following documents to support the staff's review of the cross section approximations and the numerical methods used in the CANDU lattice code, POWDERPUFS-V:
