This refers to the.special~ safety inspection conducted by Mr. P. H. Bissett of
this office on April 1-5 and 15-19, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC License
No. NPF-27 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Bissett with
Mr. G.'Leitch and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter. The primary-emphasis of the inspection
-was on the maintenance and surveillance of system configurations designed to
. prevent and detect intersystem overpressurizations. The inspector verified the
as-built configuration; reviewed maintenance, surveillance,' inspection and event
procedures and records; interviewed licensee staff members; and observed licensee
activities.
_. ithin the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
