Dear Sir:
A quality Assurance Program is being submitted to allow the transfer of TRIGA fuel elements from a shipping cask to the Bulk Shielding Facility of the University of Illinois Nuclear Reactor. This will assure that any applicable Federal Regulations will be met.
The fuel elements are being shipped by the Northrop Corporation, Palos Verdes, California. A representative from this Corporation will be present during the transfer.
The outline of the Progran follows the applicable parts of Regulatory Guide 7 10.
The Program is submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 71.
