TV Electric provided clarifications regarding the qualification of 36 inch cable tray Thermo-Lag 330-1 fire barrier via reference 1 and reference 2.
Thistestwasconductedasscheme1-2-(scheme 1).
Justification for the acceptability of this test was documented in reference 1 attachment-4.
In order to resolve NRC concerns, TV Electric will take one of the following actions
- a)
Perform a confirmatory test-for a 36 inch wide cable tray Thermor Lag 330-1 fire barrier system utilizing the acceptance criteria provided-in reference 3; b)
Participate in'the testing program (s)' initiated by the industry to resolve the concerns regarding cable tray fire barrier systems;

Provide additional clarification /,iustification with respect to the i
acceptability of the scheme 1 (i.e.
36 inch wide cable tray)..
These actions will be completed by the end of the first refueling outage for Unit 2.
i The 36 inch wide cable trays of concern ure located in the Auxiliary Building, which is a common building for Unit 1 and Unit 2.
As stated in r
response to NRC Bulletin 92-01 (reference 4), compensatory measures have been established, and will remain in place until in each plant area with Thermo-Lag until the qualification of the Thermo-Lag in that area is established.
