Dear Mr. Datta:

Please be advised that the only special nuclear material remaining at Rensselaer under the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission license SNM-910 is itemized in Table 1 (attached) has been transferred to the New York State Health Department Radioactive Materia' License #1035.

Your phone call of January 14,1993 indicated a discrepancy lit our letter to the NRC of January 18,1991 concerning the quantity of U233 rema ning at Rensselaer. The discrepancy occurred when I inadvertantly counted the 19.02 gram U233 foil twice. This was corrected in our letter to the NRC in January 14, 1992 " Material for Inventory Reduction at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute".

This discrepancy did not occur in either the NRC Inventory dated May 22,1992 or Rensselaer's " running inventory".

I hope the above satisifies your concerns.

Sincerely, h
