KNflQiLID - DOCKET to. 50-263 Your assistarcs is requested in evaluation of the dose tint could result from a break in the charcoal delay system proposed by Northen States Ibwer Company for upgrading the Monticello radioactive off-gas system to reduce releases to values as low as practicable. We have an evaluation from the Effluent Treatment Systems Branch (E15B) indicating acceptability of the proposed system. We understand from Dr. R. Zavadoski that you can readily provide the requestad avaluation. We will provide whatever input infonnation you nood for this evaluation. lim new off-gas cleanup system is scheduled to M ectivated in September 1973 and, therefore, your evaluation is regtested as soon as possible.
