Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Request for Additional Information Generic Letter 83-28, Item 1.1 By letter dated November 4,1983, you resoonded to Generic Letter 83-23 with regard to required actions based on generic implication of Salem ATWS events.

Based upon input from our contractor, Science Application International Corporation, we have reviewed your response to Generic Letter 83-28, Item 1.1 (Post-Trip Review) and find that we need additional information to complete our review.

Enclosed is our preliminary evaluation of Item 1.1,.which outlines the requested additional information.

In order to preserve our present review schedule, the staff needs the additional information within 60 days. We request your cooperation in meeting this schedule.

This request for additional information was approved by the Office of Management and Budget under clearance number 315C-0011 which expires June 30, 1985.

Comments on burden and duplication may be directed to the Office of Management and Budget, Reports Management Rocm 3208, New Executive Office Building, Washington, D. C. 20503.
