To aid in our review of the acceptability of the field-erected reactor pressure vessel for-the Monticello Reactor, the Borthern
-j States Power Company has submitted a report entitled " Design, Fabrication and Erection of the Reactor Vessel." Three copies of this report are transmitted herewith for-your use.-- We would-

- appreciate it if you would review this document and give us your evaluation of the acceptability of the proposed program for the
- i design, fabrication and'orection of the vessel.
If, in your opinion, additional' information is required to complete your review, please let me know as soon as possible and we will request such information froen Northern States j
Power Company.
l We presently plan to complete our review by the latter part of January 1967. Accordingly, we would. hope-to receive your evaluation and comments by the first part of January.
