Yankee Final Safety Analysis Report

Dear Sir:

Pursuant to 10CFR50.71(e) enclosed herewith are thirteen copies of the updated Yankee Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR), Reference (b) required the Yankee FSAR to be updated and submitted by July 12, 1985.

The initial submittal of an FSAR for Yankee was in 1959 and it was called a Final Hazards Summary Report (FHSR). The FHSR was last updated in the mid-1960s. This submittal of an updated Yankee FSAR will include all incorporated plant design changes as of January 12, 1985. However, due to the number of design changes incorporated into this update and the over 20 years of records that we have had to research, the incorporation of all safety evaluations will not be included in this update. The safety evaluations will be compiled and incorporated into the next revision to the Yankee FSAR scheduled for July 12, 1986.
