Re: Contract No. AT(49-5)2667 Nathan H. Newmark Consulting Engineering Services is hereby requested,-
pursuant to the conditions of Contract AT(49-5)2667, to provida the following services for the Comission concerning the operating license safety review for the Northern States Power Company, Monticello Nuclear Generating Plar. Unit 1:
1.
Analyses of the engineering factors included in the design pertaining to the structural response of the facility to ground motion and other related structurni requirements.
2.- Serving as an expert witness in the public hearing on this facility, if required.

Reporting Requirements: Preparation of a report on (1) above pursuant to Article I, parsgraph-(a) of'the contract.
All costs shall be itemized and requests.for reimbursement shall' be submitted pursuant to Article III of the sontract._ Any potential $

Amendeent No. 10, dated November 8, 1968, to the Montisello Final Safety Analysis Report is also enclosed for your information. The amendment consists of Appendicea B and D, and thermal and hydraulic data previously excluded from the Final Safety Analysis Report.
