ISSUANCE OF AMENDMLNT FOR TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT (TAC NO. M84863)  :

lhe Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.189 to facility Operating License No. NPf-l for Trojan Nuclear Plant. The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your application dated November 5, 1992, designated by you as LCA 226.

The amendment revises Trojan Technical Specification 3/4.3.3.7, " fire Protection Instrumentation." This amendment revises the list of fire detection instruments (Table 3.3-10) and surveillance requirements found t within the specification to reflect modifications to the fire detection system, which were made to ensure compliance with the National Fire Protection i Association Standard on Automatic fire Detectors (NFPA 72E).

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. A notice of 1 issuance will be included in the Commission's next regular biweekly fadtral.
