By letter dated April 16, 1985, Georgia Power Cmpany (GPC) provided its response to an. allegation. that GPC is not using an authorized nuclear inspector (ANI) for all weld repair activities.
The allegaticri was suhttitted to GPC by your letter dated January 28, 1985.
'Ihe purpose of this letter is to clarify a statement contained in the fifth sentence of the 'second paragraph of our April 16, 1985 letter.
That sentence should be replaced in the reading by:
"GPC Ouality Centrol provides essentially the same function as the ANI by performing inspections of repairs, review of procedures,
-etc.
Further, GPC Ouality Assurance atrlits repairs on a selected -
. basis."
