Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 - Salem ATWS Events, Generic Letter 83-28, Position 1.1, Post Trip Review Generic Letter 83-28 (GL 83-28) requested licensees of operating reactors, applicants for operating licenses and holders of construction permits to respond to certain positions resulting'from staff's review of the anticipated transient without scram (ATWS) events at the Salem Nuclear Plant.

The staff's safety evaluation is enclosed. Based on its review, the staff concludes that the program and procedures for post-trip review at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, are acceptable.
