ENVIRONMEN1AL ASSESSMENT AND flNDING Of NO SIGN!flCANT IMPACT, SPENT FUEL POOL EXPANSION, ZION NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC 1 N05. M80533 AND M80534)

By letter dated January 15, 1992, as supplemented by additional correspondence dated October 2 and 16, 1992, Commonwealth Edison Company requested a license amendment to increase the allowable capacity of the spent fuel pool.

Enclosed is our Environmental Assessment related to this proposed action.

Based on our assessment, we have concluded that there are no significant radiological or nonradiological impacts associated with the proposed spent fuel pool expansion and it will have no significant impact on the quality of the human environment.

We have also enclosed a Notice of issuance of Environmental Assessment and finding of No Significant Imptct. This Notice is being forwarded to the office of the federal Register for publicalion.
