9 ADVISORY COM!GTTEE ON REACIOR SAF"ir,UARDS REPORPS TO AEC ON PROPOSED FERESOIA SITE The Ata=ic Energy Commission has received a report from its Advisory Co==1ttee on Reactor Safeguards concernin6 a site at Lbaticello, Minnesota, proposed by Northern States Power Co=pany for construction of a nuclear power plant.
Uorthern States Power Co=pany requested a preliminary review of a 1325 acre site on the Mississippi River about three miles northwest of Monticello and about 40 miles northwest of b1nneapolis-St. Paul. The nuclear plant would have a boiling uter reactor and would have an output of about 472,000 electrical kilowatts.
No application for a construction per=1t has been received by the AEC. A copy of the report of the Advisory Co==ittee on Reactor Safeguards is attached.
