A routine safety inspection of your annual emergency preparedness exercise was
conducted by Mr. C. Gordon of this office and other members of an NRC team on
May 13-16, 1985, at the Yankee Nuclear Power Station, Rowe, Massachusetts.
Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Gordon with you and your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report (enclosure). Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
v followup of open items identified during previous inspections, selectiva
examination of procedures and~ representative records, interviews with
personnel, and observation of the emergency exercise by team members.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
