EAR GDGATI?C PIRR Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 0:1 Februaty 3,1974, during routine transfer of torus water to radwaste, the "A" Posidual llent Removal (THR) torus cooling injection valve operator (50 2008) motor failed due to stalled rotor current overheating the windings. Tim rutor stalled because the valve stem travel limit switches became misaligned. The misalignent was caused by the stem follower failina to retain the stem in its proper position, hip to the alignment of the stem travel limit switches.the stem po direct relations Further investigation and repair art in progress. The valve can be operated mantia11y if required. This failure kloes not affect IJCI operability.
Isolation festvres are preserved by the upstrean isolation valve.
