REPORT N05. 50-348/85-06 AND 50-364/85-06
The NRC Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Board has completed
its periodic evaluation of the performance of your Farley facility.
This facility
was evaluated for the period August 1, 1983 through December 31, 1984.
The
results of the evaluation are documented in the enclosed SALP Board Report.
This report will be discussed with you at your Farley facility on April 11, 1985.
The performance of your Farley facility was evaluated in the functional areas of
plant operations,
radiological
controls, maintenance,
surveillance,
fire
protection, emergency preparedness, security, refueling, training, quality
programs and administrative controls affecting quality, and licensing activities.
A high level of performance has continued at your Farley facility. There was an
aggressive management posture towards nuclear safety.
Strengths were noted by
the SALP Board in the areas of plant operations, radiological controls, mainten
ance, fire protection, emergency preparedness, refueling, training, and licensing
activities.
Any comments you have concerning our evaluation of the performance of your facility
should be submitted to this of fice within 30 days following the date of our
meeting at your Farley facility.
Your comments (if any), a summary of our
April 11, 1985 meeting, and my disposition of your comments will be issued as an
appendix to the enclosed SALP Board Report.
Should you have any questions concerning this letter, we will be glad to discuss
them with you.
