2 I called Mr. Richard Lofy on March 31, 1967, regarding Parameter,'Inc. ,

participation in the coming Northern States power hearing.

I outlined to him that our plan is to write a brief report concerning field fabri-a cation of the Monticello ptessure vessel and that this report would be

! attached as an Appendix to our Safety Analysis. In this Appendix, we would indicate that Parameter, Inc., has been a consultant to the j regulatory staf f and has reviewed all of the material submitted con-4 cerning field fabrication. We would also indicate in the Appendix that i Parameter, Inc., is in agreement with the material presented in the j

Appendix. I told Mr. Lofy that we would send a draft of this proposed i Appendix to him for his review and/or comment within two or three weeks.

l The procedure that I outlined is acceptable to him. _1 also noted that 1

there is a possibility that he or other representatives of Parameter, j inc. , might.be called upon to testify at the public hearing. Mr. Lofy l said that they would be available to testify if necessary.
