Pursuant to Section 50.50 of 10 CFR Part 50, each operating license.
for a nuclear power plant issued by the Commission will contain e
such conditions and limitations, including technical specifications, as it deems appropriate and necessary. Certain of these conditions and limitations, corresponding to key parameters of the NEPA environ-mental review, shall be. incorporated into the operating license as environmental technical specifications. These parameters are generally identified in your environmental report and the AEC environmental s tatement.
Accordingly, you are requested to prepare and submit to the Directorate of Licensing proposed environmental technical specifications for the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
The information that you provide will be evaluated and used to develop the enviroamental technical specifications which will be incorporated, as Appendir. B, into the operating license for the lionticello Plant.
In order to maintain our licensing review schedule, we will need your submittal, consisting of three signed originals and 40 copies, by Septenber 17,1973. Please inform us within seven (7) days af ter receipt of this letter of your confirnation of this date or of a proposed alternate.
