UNITED STATES ATOHIC FvrnCY COMMISSION DOCKET No. 50-263 NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY NOTICE OP RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND FACILITY LICENSE The Northern States Power Company, 414 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55401, pursuant to Section 104.b. of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, has filed an application, dated August 1, 1966, for authorization to construct and operate a boiling water nuclear reactor on a 1325 acre site located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, approximately three toiles northwest of Monticello in Wright County, Minnesota.
The proposed reactor, designated by the applicant as the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, is designed for initial operation at 1469 thermal megawatts with a net electrical output of 472 megawatts.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Conunission's Public Document Room,1717 H Street, N. W., Washington, D. C.
