Re: La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor-(LACBWR)
The NRC staff has completed its review of the subject item at La Crosse.
Dairyland Power Cooperative responded to this item by letter dated October 25, 1983, which refers to an earlier submittal dated June 25,1981(LAC-7628).
The June 25, 1981: letter submittal states that the reactor protection system
~ trip system bistable comparator is tested during power operation. The full scram relays (K-114/182) are also actuated while at power to verify their operability. The staff concludes that the performance of this on-line testing at La Crosse is sufficient to satisfy the intent of Item 4.5.1, which is considered to be resolved for your facility.
