RE: Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Michigan Permit No. M00064 Groundwater Limitations At 2030 hours0.0235 days <br />0.564 hours <br />0.00336 weeks <br />7.72415e-4 months <br /> on April 7, 1985, the high and low alarm set points on the turbine room sump continuously monitoring pH meter was found to be 0.30 pH units high with the pH meter calibration 0.59 pH units low. The sump was immediately isolated and no further transfer of turbine room sump effluent to the absorption pond was made until the pH of the sump was verified by grab sample to be within permit limits.
Since 1400 hours0.0162 days <br />0.389 hours <br />0.00231 weeks <br />5.327e-4 months <br /> on April 7,1985, when the pH was indicated at 8.5 approximately 45,240 gallons of turbine room sump effluent, whose pH could have been 9.09, were released to the absorption pond.
The pH meter was adjusted, calibrated and returned to service at 2315 hours0.0268 days <br />0.643 hours <br />0.00383 weeks <br />8.808575e-4 months <br />, April-7, 1985.
