NORTilERN STATES POWER COMPANY v. STATE OF MINNESOTA The United States District Court for the District of Columbia has granted the motion of the Southern Governors' Conference for leave to file a petition as " amicus curiae" in the' F,
Northern States litigation.
The States represented are Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the Territory of the Virgin Islands.
The Governor of Tennessee did not wish to parti-cipate in the filing.
I am attaching for your information a copy of the motion stating the position of the Southern Governors ' Conference.
The Court had previously approved similar motions filed by the States of Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Wisconsin.
