- NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY DOCKET No. 50-263 AMENDMENT TO FACILITY LICENSE License No. DPR-22 Amendment No. 2 The Atomic Energy Commission ("the Commission") has found that:
1.
The application for license amendment dated February 5,1973, complies with the requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and the Commission's regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter Il 2.
There is reasonable assurance (1) that the activities authorized by this operating licanse, as amended, can be conducted withc.it endangering the health and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Commission; 3.
The issuance of this amendment vill not be inimical to the common defense and security or to the health and safety of the public; and 4.
Public notice of proposed issuance of this ame,dment is not required since the amendment does not involve significanc. hazard considerations different from those previously evaluated.
Facility License No. DPR-22, as amended, issued to the Northern States Power Company for operation of its Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, Unit 1, located in Wright County, Minneso?, is hereby further amended to revise paragraph 2.B in its entirety to read as follows:

Pursuant to the Act and 10 CFR Part 70, "Special Nuclear Material." to receive, possess, and use at any one time up to 2300 kilograms of uranium 235 as reactor fuel assemblies, 50 grams of uranien 235 as fission chambers, and 16 grams of plutonium as contained Pu-De neutron sources in connection with operation of the facility.
This amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
