Contrary to our report of August 30, 1974, concerning R0 Bulletin 74-9, the trip roller bars for 4 KY circuit breakers at the Monticello Ni. clear Generating Plant have not been replaced during the January 1975 refueling outage. All 4 kV circuit breakers were inspected for trip roller bar clearance during the outage. These inspections revealed that there is no possible source of interference as described in the Bulletin. The c: rcuit breaker manufacturer (General Electric) has concurred with this, expla:ning that the interfercace descrioed was with the linkage which actuates the auxiliary switchblock while the breaker is in the test position. The Monticello circuit breakers are not equipped with this linkage.
