Box 2951 Beaumont, Texas 77704 Gentlemen: This refers to the ins ~pection conducted by Mr. J. B. Baird of this office and a team of inspectors during the period May 6-10, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC Construction Permit CPPR-145 for the River Bend Station, and to the discussion of our findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. Areas examined during the inspection included followup on emergency preparedness appraisal deficiencies in training, organization, coordination with offsite groups, emergency procedures, and emergency response facilities and equipment. Within these areas, the inspection con'sisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector. These findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report. Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were identified.
