FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY MEMORANDA CONCERNING THE LIMERICK GENERATING STATION Enclosed are two documents from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) concerning'the Limerick Generating Station.

The first enclosed memorandum from Richard W. Krimm, Assistant Associate Director, Office of Natural and Technological Hazards Programs, FEMA, dated March 27, 1985 forwards'the FEMA report of the March 7,-1985 remedial exercise at Graterford prison indicating that a portion of a Category A deficiency cited at the July 25, 1984' Limerick Offsite Radiological Emergency Preparedness Exercise has been cor-rected. Attached to the FEMA memorandum is a copy of the remedial exercise report.

The second enclosed memorandum from Richard W. Krimm, FEMA, dated' April 9, 1985

'is la summary of the remaining offsite deficiencies in emergency planning and preparedness for the Limerick Generating Station. The memorandum identifies two deficiencies which were addressed in the April 10, 1985 remedial exercise and identifies four other plan and exercise deficiencies and the methods FEMA will use to resolve these four deficiencies. Also included as attachments to the, FEMA memorandum are the transmittal memorandum, dated March 29, 1985, for the updated inter _im findings from: Paul P. Giordano, Regional Director, and_ a copy of the interim findings report.

These letters are forwarded to you for your information with a request that you continue to coordinate 'the Limerick emergency planning efforts with.those

, of State and local planning' authorities to ensure that their concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
