During the week of November 16, 1992, the NltC administered initial examinations to
employees of your company who had applied for licenses to operate the Pilgrim Nuclear
Power Station. The NltC also administered requalification retake examinations to two
licensed operators that did not pass the NitC administered examinations administered in
h1ay 1992. At the conclusion of the examinations, the preliminary lindings were discussed
with those members of yom staff identified in the enclosed report.
Nine of ten applicants passett the initial examination and both licensed operators passed the
requalification retake examinations. The examinees were well p;cpared for the examinations.
Your staff is commended for their cooperation during the examination preparation and
administration. Section 3.0 of the enclosed report contains additional details of the applicants
performance and the NitC examiners' observations.
