The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the implementation of License Amendments 166 (Unit 1) and 146 (Unit 2). In Reference (a), Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BG&E) requested a delay in the implementation date of the license amendment requested in Reference (b),
and approved in Reference (c), from July 31,1992, until December 31, 1992. The Commission approved the delay in the implementation date in Reference (d). The license amendment involved the installation of a Single-Failure-Proof spent fuel cask handling crane. In Reference (a), BG&E committed to inform the Commission when the license amendment was implemented.

January 13,1993 Page 2 License Amendments 166 (Unit 1) and 146 (Unit 2) were implemented on December 9,1992, following the installation of the new tcolley on the spent fuel cask handling cranc. The old trolley has l
been removed and the new Sirgle-Failure-Proof crane is currently undergoing pre-operational testing.
Subsequent to the Commission's issuance of the revised technical specification pages with a
Reference (c) and prior to their implementation, the Calvert Cliffs technical specifications were reissued in their entirety under Reference (c). Due to an administrative oversight, the pages issued with Amendments 166/146 were not revised at that time. Therefore, we have retyped the changes approved in Amendments 166/146 to make them consistent with the current technical specifications.
A copy of the retyped pages is attached.
