%,.....,o Transportation Certification Branch Approval Record Model No. HN-100S Package Docket No. 71-9089 By application dated May 2,1985, Westinghouse Hittman Nuclear Incorporated requested an amendment to Certificate of Compliance No. 9089 to authorize the use of a temporary drain line plug. The applicant provided revised operating procedures to take into account the temporary drain line plug.

The drain hole has been plugged with a solid bar of steel and welded in place with the same size weld (1/8") as the original drain line.

The applicant has stated that the cask successfully passed the annual leak test requirement before it was plugged. Therefore, if Condition 12 of the Certificate of Compliance is met (annual leak test requirement), Condition No. 9 (requirement for vent / test secondary lid) need not apply.
