Dear Sir:
I am writing to express my concern about the proposed NRC ruling that will permit development of two high-level nuclear waste sites on the shores of Lake Michigan; one near the Palisades reactor of the Consumer's Power Company in Michigan and the other at Wisconsin Electric's Point Beach plant near Two Rivers.
I urge you to :
1.
Extend the comment period in order for concerned citizens to prepare a thorough list of objectiona, since the potential impact on the lake warrants indepth analysis.
2.
Prepare an environmental impact statement of the use of ventilated storage casks in general.
3.
.!!old a public hearing in the region involved.
