By letter dated July 24, 1992, you provided a. response to NRC Bulletin 92-01

, for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (6GNS). Your response stated that compensatory j measures have been implemented consistent with the plant Technical

Specification., or operating license. You al t provided a description of'the
long term corrective action to ensure or restore operability.

. Appropriate actions to resolve fire barrier concarns are being developed 4 through an industry program being coordinated by Nt' MARC. This program will f

include es Wishment of a test database, development of guidance for applicabil ny of tests, and coordination of additional testing as appropriate.

We will apply the results of these efforts, when completed, to the inermo-Lag i 230 installations at GGNS.

We have reviewed your response and find it acceptable. Please inform us when all corrective actions have been completed. Further NRC review, if any, will be performed by inspection or audit.
