Emergency Notification Form, section 7 The examples noted in paragraph 7 of inspection Report 92-25 were messages made to offsite agencies by the Simulator Control Room. Annual emergency overview training provided to Operations will stress that messages for offsite distribution should be less technical in order to be clear to the public agencies.
Annual emergency overview training for Operations will be completed by June 30,1993. Duke Power provides a technical liaison to the State and local agencies who interpret issued emergency notifications.
Emergency Notification Form, section 8 Message content will be discussed during annual emergency overview training provided to Operations and offsite agency communicators which will include the examples noted in paragraph 7 of Inspection Report 92-25. A reading package has been routed to all Senior Reactor Operators outlining the areas identified.
The review of this reading package will be completed by January 15,1393. A memo has been routed to all offsite agency communicators outlining the areas identified.
Emergency Notification Form, section 13 Instructional guidance has been provided to all offsite dose assessment personnel responsible for completion of the Emergency Notification Form stating the estimated duration shall be two hours and outlining steps to ensure the Emergency Notification Form is completed properly. As an Emergency Preparedness Program enhancement, the mesorem computer program will be updated to automate these manual steps. This update will coincide with the computer program update to incorporate the new EPA 400 guidance that will be completed by October 20,1993.
Emergency Notification Form, section 16 Approval of the emergency notification mecsage will be stressed to Operations during annual emergency -
overview training that will be completed by June 30,1993. Also, inspection Report 92-25 has been routed as a reading package to all Senior Reactor Operators outlining the problems identified by the Inspector.
l The review of Inspection Report 92-25 will be completed by January 15,1993.
