On October 23, 1984, the Salem Nuclear. Generating Station emergency exercise was observed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
FEMA identified three Category A deficiencies concerning the Salem County (New Jersey) Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and a fourth Category A deficiency concerning the Salem County congregate care shelter.
Recurring deficiencies with the State of Delaware E0C were also identified.
Attached is a copy of the exercise report prepared by FEMA.
You are requested to review these findings and coordinate with FEMA Region II and III to ensure that the deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner by the States and local governments with your assistance, if necessary.
