This input addresses' the problem of potential flooding of safety-related equipment in the cooling tower areas. This problem was identified on pages 2-18 and 2-19 of the SER.

F We previously submitted our SSER input to you on January 15, 1982.

However at that time we were unable to completely close the cooling tower flood problem because the applicant had not provided an adequate response to l

our concerns; consequently, our January 15, 1982 input was not included in I

any of the SER supplements that have already been published. We have taken

applicable portions of our Jante. ry 15, 1982 input and have incorporated those items here. Thus this input supersedes our January SSER completely.

i This input addresses the only outstanding item that the Hydrologic Engineering Section identified in Section 2.4 of the SER and thus completes our Safety Evaluation of Waterford-3.
