Fuel Cycle Safety Branch t Division of-Industrial anc Medical t;uclear Safety, NMSS SU6 JECT: SEQUOYAH FUELS CORPCRATION (SFC) ENVIRONMENTAL FINulhGS We have reviewed your June 10, 1991, memorandum regarcing the inspector's recommendations for potential licensing action. With the exception of the combination stream sediment, the items have been discusred.in meetings between regional and heacquarters staff and in the quarterly meetings with Sequoyah Fuels Corporation (SFC). The issue of the combination stream sediment dealt with precipitation of the uranium from the low-flow stream. SFC addressed this issue by installing the pipeline. The other items will be considered in cur-review of SFC's environmental investigation fir.iings and the license renewal.
