Region III recently received a copy of a letter dated May 7,1985, to Mr. Art King of Baldwin Associates...The letter came from the law offices of Ray Moss and Associates. The letter pertained to the termination of an individual on January 26, 1984, for not following a procedure. The attorney feels that the termination of the individual was unjust because the individual claims to have followed the correct procedure in doing a certain welding job.
We are concerned about the adequacy of any applicable welding procedures and the possible detrimental effect on welding. Therefore, we request that you analyze the concern; perform necessary audits, surveillances, or other appropriate investigations in order to determine the validity and significance of this condition; and take appropriate action as necessary to address the concern and root cause if applicable.
We fu,'ther request that the results of your review and disposition of this matter be submitted to Region III after completion. Documentation supporting your results should be maintained onsite for any further inspection by Region III.
