Dear Mr. Keppler:
4 This letter is to notify you of the change in testing schedule from bi-weekly to bi-annually for the subject check valves. This is based on six successive satisfactory tests since the installation of the CPI Model No. 8F-C8L-10-D, brass check valves. The testing interval will continue until Unit One's second refueling. Currently, the permanent stainless steel check valves are.5cheduled to be installed in the late 1985 timeframe.
The change in testing interval was discussed with W. Forney at an NRC/ CECO Management Meeting held July 2,1985. Verbal concurrence was given by Kevin Connaughton, Resident Inspector, on July 5,1985.
