Subject: Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-272/85-03 and 50-311/85-09
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. G. Krasopoulos
of this office on April 1 - 4, 1985, at Salem Units 1 and 2, Hancocks Bridge,
New Jersey, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-70 and DPR-75
and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. A. G. Krasopoulos with
Mr. J. M. . Zupko, Jr. , at the conclusion of the inspection and a subsequent
telephone call on May 2, 1985.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
,
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the in-
spection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Our inspector also. verified the steps you have taken to correct the violation
brought to your attention in the enclosure to our letter dated November 22, 1982.
We have no further questions regarding your action at this time.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
