protection requirements of my letter of September 23, 1980, should be modified.

Accordingly, under the authority of the Commission to grant exemptions to requirements of 10 CFR Part 73, as authorized by law and as provided for in Section 73.5, you are hereby granted exemptions from the specific requirements of 10 CFR 73.40(a) and 73.67(c) to maintain a security system in accordance with an approved security plan provided that the following physical protection _

d. A watchman or other individual authorized to contact the local law enforcement agency shall notify the local law enforcement agency of unauthorized activities which impact on the safeguarding of special nuclear interial. 1

e. Personnel and items exiting from the former processing MAA shall be searched for unauthorized renoval of high enriched uranium.
