Enclosed is the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) staff evaluation of the-subject Regulatory- Guide (R.G.) . By letters dated May 13, 1991, October 4, 1991 and February 28, 1992, you requested the NRC to reevaluate issues raised in our Safety Evaluation Report (SER) dated March 13, 1991.

We have reviewed your submittals and conclude that you either conform to, or-.

have adequately-justified deviations from the guidance of R.G.1.97 as provided in the enclosed Supplementary Safety. Evaluation. Therefore, we-find.

PNPS design acceptable with respect to R.G. 1.97.

This completes our action on this issue and closes TAC M51119. .
