r As defined by Technical Specifications for Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Station, Section 5.3, the following information involving
[
the failure of a containment penetration to meet an acceptable leak rate during a routine periodic surveillance leak rate test is reported as Abnormal Occurrence 74-6.

Following a periodic leak rate test of containment penetration P-60 (component cooling water supply to the neutron shield tank cooler) calculations indicated a leak rate in excess of that allowed.
This test involves the measurement of any water leaking back through a check valve installed in the nornal cooling water supply line to l
the neutron shield tank while pressurized to containment design pressure of 40 psig.
An investigation into the cause of the excess leakage through J
the check valve is being conducted and a written report will be submitted within ten days.
