This is in response to ycur Novertber 1,1979, telegram and the followup letter  !

dated Novencer 1979, expressing con:ern over the startup and continued operation l of the Big Rock Point Huclear Plant. 1 With regard to our response to those items addressed in the attachments to your letter, we note that these items are the subject of a request by Ms Jo Anne Biers and Ms Shirley Johns, pursuant to 2.206 of the Commission's regulations to suspend oper'ations of the Big Rock Point fa:ility pending resolution of those questions.

Starting in oure,1383, a resident insoector will be permanently stationed at the Big Rock f oint f acility. his will greatly increase our independent verification of the safety of opera:icns anc alsa ensure iore timely resolution of identified p rob l ems .
