This is in response to ycur Novertber 1,1979, telegram and the followup letter dated Novencer 1979, expressing con:ern over the startup and continued operation of the Big Rock Point Huclear Plant.
1 With regard to our response to those items addressed in the attachments to your letter, we note that these items are the subject of a request by Ms Jo Anne Biers and Ms Shirley Johns, pursuant to 2.206 of the Commission's regulations to suspend oper'ations of the Big Rock Point fa:ility pending resolution of those questions.

To provice es surance that Big Rock Point is operating in ccmpliance with their Cperating License, inspectors from the NRC's Region III Office of Inspection ard Erfcreemen: co-ducted 15 inspections in 1979.
Starting in oure,1383, a resident insoector will be permanently stationed at the Big Rock f oint f acility.
