Catawba Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-413, -414 Physical Security Plan, Revision 32 As required by 10 CFR 10.54 (p), enclosed are four (4) copies of Revision 32 of the Catawba Physical Security Plan dated December 21, 1992.
Revision 32 addresses the following changes: the use and definition of the terms security officer and watchman, Vital Area access authorization, compensation for vehicles in the interior isolation
- zone, CCTV switcher operability and incorporation of an image capture system, vehicle escort, badge inventory, and protected, vital and security access area configuration. Details of these changes are in the Synopsis of Changes.
These plan revisions do not decrease the effectiveness of the Physical Security Plan.
Section 5.3.1.5, which addresses transmission line tamper protection, is not part of this revision.
This section is undergoing a thorough review and will be submitted in a plan revision no later than March 31, 1993.
Since this information provides details of the physical protection system at Catawba Nuclear Station, I request that this information be -withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
