This is in regard to our letters of August 3 and Auqust 15, 1979 concerning the approval of routes to be used for shipments of spent fuel fron Oconee Nuclear Station to McGuire Nuclear Station.

On February 29, 1980 the Commission, in response to a petition from the NRC staff, ruled that, even though the staff ray have correctly applied the provisions of 10 CFR Part 2.790(d)(1) to spent fuel routes, the specific route information for these shipments is not to be withheld from public  !

disclosure. The Commission's order does not extend to safeguards infor-mation other than the specific routes approved by the NRC in this case.

Accordingly, the requirement contained in our August 3 and Aucust 15, 1979 letters regarding withholding the identification of the specific approved -

routes is hereby rescinded. y t.
