McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Numbers 50-369, 50-370 LER 369/85-13 LER 370/85-11 Gentlemen:
On May 2, 1985 the actuators for valves IVX-1 and,1VX-2 were discovered to be excessively filled with grease. This event has been determined to be reportable under the criteria of 10CFR 50.73 (a)(2)(vi), with a report due on June 3, 1985. On May 4, 1985 the operating condensate booster pump and main feedwater pump tripped on low condensate booster pump flow. This event has been determined to be reportable under the criteria of 10CFR 50.73 (a)(2)(iv), with a report due on June 3,1935. However, due to manpower requirements of the investigating group, these two Licensee Event Reports, 369/85-13 (May 2 event) and 370/85-11 (May 4 event), will be submitted by June 14, 1985 and June 18, 1935, respectively.
Licensee Event Report numbers 370/85-08, 370/85-09, and 370/85-10 are assigned to informational (voluntary) LER's which have also been delayed due to manpower requirements and the availability of information. These reports will be submitted in the near future.
