of their determination that the EAlSO series limit switches shipped against Bechtel Purch 4se Order 9645-F36019 (1) EA740-50001 shippcd 7/16/79 may have a ;op gasket which will emit res in vapor, at tempera-tures above 175 /, which could condense on the normally open contacts possibly causi.ig a switch malfunction.

i switch located on a manually actuated valve (QlC4 LF008).
II.
Safety Implications The valve in question is used for position indication only and not required for safe shutdown of the plant.
If the switch on the valve had failed causing the valve to become inoperable, no effect on the health and safety of the public would have been experienced nor would it adversely affect the safe operations of the plant.
Therefore, this condition was determined not reportable per L0 CFR 50.55(e).
