Stress corrosion crackin); fcund in Westinghouse LP rotors three months ago.

May be-Part 50.55e reportable for plants using Westinghouse P1 in SAR analysis but Westinghouse claims not, at least til new P1 analysis finished (still several months away).

Utilities probably reluctant to report because of confusing Westinghouse position and uncertainty whether P1 significantly worse.

May be Part 21 reportable. If so, flagrant Westinghouse violation. l I

t During the overhaul of the unit 1 low pressure turbine, cracks oi indications have been found in' the D and C Section Discs. On November 14, 1979. crack indicatipna were f ound in the B section Number 2 disks and on November 20, 1979, two cracks were fuernd Iu'the C r.er t i on Ember 1 d l nks.
